Abstract

This is the second biannual report by the Spanish Network for Sustainable Development (REDS) on the degree of compliance with the SDGs in a hundred municipalities in Spain.

The report in a nutshell:

It incorporates new features such as the identification of SDGs with greater municipal competence, a greater number of indicators and measurement of budgetary effort.

The report analyses progress in the implementation of the SDGs in 103 Spanish cities, including provincial and administrative capitals, as well as cities with a population of over 80,000.

The objective is to assist local administrations in identifying areas of priority for action and in detecting key challenges in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

This report identifies post-COVD opportunities at the municipal level and inspiring practices for local governments in response to the crisis caused by the pandemic.
