This report presents the results of a public participation process involving women from several northern districts of Madrid, who are either residents or users of the area.
Using the Urban Safety Audit methodology, areas of insecurity, mobility issues and accessibility problems relating to facilities and public transport were identified. This consultation process was also instrumental in raising awareness of the need to listen to women’s voices and take into account their opinions, needs and priorities regarding the built environment.
